Updates: Mystic South Movement

It has been a while since I last posted here. I have been severely depressed and working to do just what had to be done. I decided to restart this blog by posting an update.

Then I attended Mystic South 2025. It sounds cliché to say it changed my life, so let's say that it kick-started movement. I had been stuck in all the ways you can imagine. Without purpose or direction. I had crocheted a lot but ultimately, I wasn't really doing anything or making any progress anywhere.

I have been to many pagan events. This gathering was small, but the layout encouraged people to connect with one another. The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and accepting. It has been a long time since I felt that level of engagement by strangers, presenters, and convention staff.

Since I have been home from the event, I have made new connections with people, created real movement on some projects, and started writing regularly. I am reading non-fiction again, which is always a sign that I am in learning mode.

It feels like I was woken up. I did impactful readings. Presented on geomancy (probably poorly) and, in general, had a wonderful time.

Updates

Health

My health has come to a place where I am being tested to verify Stage 3 Kidney Disease. My liver, which has been diagnosed as a Fatty Liver for years, is starting to show signs of wear and tear. I have really great days and crash days. I am hopeful the Visible band will help. I have been aware of the Visible band for years, but I held off on purchasing it because I wasn't sure if it worked or if it was even helpful for individuals with chronic illnesses Becky was so helpful in making a decision and I have high hopes that I might be able to better manage good and bad days with this device (Not an indorsement. or ad). I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I finally met someone who wore a Visible band. I met some people who are also interested in Pagans with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses, connecting and mobilizing. I additionally went to amazing presentations. I am already planning my return July 16 - 19, 2026! You should too!

Writing

I have started a new book: The Seven Ravens: A Journey and Spell to Regain Your Power After Abuse. This book has been a long time coming. I have a peer editor reviewing the first two chapters, and I have dedicated myself to working daily on the project. The Seven Ravens have been part of my spiritual journey for years, nearly since the very beginning of my journey in paganism. The fact that they have manifested meaning and direction in my life is renewing and hopeful. I will write more on the Seven Ravens and this forthcoming title in the near future.

For now, that is the update I have. Go with Divinity awakened in your soul, as Divinity has awakened in mine.
